Conversation Mastery
Rehearse demanding managerial conversations before they happen, including in different languages.
01 / The approach
A performance review, conflict discussion, negotiation, or alignment conversation changes with what the counterpart says and how we respond. Managerial Conversations, within Conversation Mastery, puts leaders in dialogue with virtual counterparts in situations close to their work.
Participants practise listening, clarity, presence, and managerial judgment by repeating a scenario and comparing approaches. They can work in their own language or another working language; feedback and indicators must be interpreted in the context of the role and objectives.
02 / How it works
Define the conversation
Identify the people, interests, setting, risks, and what the leader needs to achieve or clarify.
Enter the scenario
Speak with an avatar that responds to choices, questions, and relationship management.
Review and repeat
Examine feedback and key moments; change the approach and, where useful, the language.
03 / What to observe
Listening and audience awareness
Clarity and message structure
Handling objections and tension
Quality of judgment and decisions
04 / A concrete example
Speak to Lead
Speak to Lead is an executive programme for ENI Upstream Africa: two days on message framing and on presence and delivery, followed by three individual online sessions with senior faculty. Leaders work on real situations, audiences, and cultural contexts, with peer challenge and feedback. The journey combines work on each leader’s message, practice, peer challenge, and individual support.
05 / How to tailor it
Scenarios, role, languages, counterpart profiles, rubrics, and delivery modes are agreed with the organization. Simulations can run online or in immersive settings, depending on configuration.
